Job Description

AbbVie’s Austin-based Virtual Sales operation is a team of virtual sales personnel supporting field sales, operational, and marketing initiatives using best practices, job aids, and quality metrics to build lasting relationships with healthcare practices nationwide.

We are seeking high-energy, self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are skilled in phone and other channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with healthcare professionals to meet brand objectives.

Successful candidates will have strong verbal communication skills, be highly organized, flexible, self-starters, and capable of articulating value consistently to foster customer growth through positive interactions and relationships.

Main Areas of Responsibility
  • Use virtual sales techniques to engage healthcare professionals, offering product education, program information, samples, and resources while meeting call volume metrics.
  • Complete product training and meet expectations to serve customers effectively.
  • Manage accounts, plan strategies, support customer education, and report activities.
  • Engage healthcare professionals with informational and promotional communications in compliance with policies and guidelines to grow prescriptions.
  • Establish a commanding phone presence, build rapport, and develop relationships with all levels of healthcare staff.
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and communicate effectively using clinical terminology.
  • Respond to customer needs, process requests, and provide additional information as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism, a positive attitude, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with best practices.
  • Accurately document all interactions and follow up as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members and partners to improve sales strategies and effectiveness.
  • Meet and exceed activity and productivity goals.
  • Safeguard patient privacy according to HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of medical terminology and ability to pronounce medical terms.
  • Knowledge of medical device, pharmaceutical markets, or related fields.
  • Experience in healthcare industry interactions preferred.
  • Professional phone etiquette skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to learn and follow established best practices and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Additional Information
