Job summary

Airgas in Slidell, LA is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to partner with customers and help them select industrial gases, welding supplies, and related equipment. You will guide customers on tools and materials, demonstrate equipment usage, and ensure accurate pricing and order accuracy.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies.
• Advise customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed to complete projects.
• Demonstrate equipment use and share insights on product quality to build customer confidence.
• Adhere to company policies including safety and PPE requirements.
• Provide excellent service to internal and external partners; foster long-term relationships.
• Manage order entry and process transactions; assist with deposits reconciliation.
