Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an Internal Sales professional to drive mutual funds, annuities, and insurance sales by proactively marketing Transamerica’s products and cultivating client relationships. You will develop new business leads and manage existing relationships to promote sales opportunities and service delivery.

Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with Regional Vice Presidents, documenting activities in CRM, and contributing to territory business planning.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or equivalent industry experience.
• Series 7/6 Securities License (Series 63 if applicable) or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Current Life Insurance License.
• Intermediate level personal computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain ongoing relationship with Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) to grow share of mutual funds, annuities, and insurance and enhance product visibility.
• Daily contact with RVP to ensure territory coverage and relationship-building per business plan and sales goals.
• Document all proactive activity and relevant issues in the CRM system (appointments, thank-you calls, monthly campaigns, sales opportunities).
• Participate in development and execution of the territory business plan.
• Collaborate with home office departments, RVPs, Division VPs, Relationship Managers, and Internal Relationship Managers to support selling relationships.
• Demonstrate strong listening to assess needs and determine necessary sales support, adding value to products and services.
• Keep Sales Desk Manager informed of concerns hindering goals and training needs for performance growth.
