Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales professional to support drywall and related building materials sales at our Port St. Lucie facility. The role focuses on taking orders, building customer relationships, and using the company system to process transactions.

Ideal candidates will be able to develop product knowledge, handle multiple tasks, and collaborate with Outside Sales Reps to drive strategic sales initiatives while maintaining accurate documentation and timely responses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4 year degree preferred.
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public.
• Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Take orders at the sales counter and over the phone.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Enter orders in company computer system accurately.
• Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine strategic sales approaches.
• Overcome objections of prospective customers.
• Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms/reports.
