Job summary

Semsee is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to open doors for independent retail agents and brokerages by introducing them to a real-time, AI-powered wholesale insurance platform.

In this role you’ll grow agent relationships, qualify partnerships, and collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to ensure smooth handoffs and market growth. The position is based in Downtown Indy with base salary plus commissions.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1+ year of experience in a relationship-based sales, business development, or customer-facing role.
• A natural communicator clear, confident, and genuine whether you’re on the phone, on a video call, or in a room.
• Self-motivated with a drive to hit goals and grow beyond them.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with follow-through.
• Active state insurance producer license, or the ability and commitment to obtain one within a defined timeframe after hire.

Responsibilities

• Grow agent relationships by identifying, prospecting, and connecting with independent retail agents and brokerages in your market.
• Qualify agency relationships and gather information to set Regional Sales Managers up for deeper partnership conversations.
• Be a knowledgeable, energetic first point of contact about the platform and collaborate with Regional Sales Managers for smooth handoffs.
• Represent the platform as a confident voice in the market and relay agent feedback to sales leadership to shape strategy.
• Stay sharp with CRM activity, keep leads up to date, and stay informed on industry trends and platform updates.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an Inside Sales Manager, you won’t be selling insurance, you'll be opening doors. Connect agents to a platform that makes their businesses more competitive, and grow into a territory-owning Regional Sales Manager role as you build your presence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

GROW AGENT RELATIONSHIPS

• Identify, prospect, and connect with independent retail agents and brokerages across your market.
• Introduce agents to the Semsee platform and demonstrate the value of real-time market access showing how it eliminates the friction of traditional wholesale brokerage.
• Build and nurture a pipeline of agent relationships that convert to active platform users.

SUPPORT THE SALES ECOSYSTEM

• Qualify new agency relationships and gather key information to set Regional Sales Managers up for deeper partnership conversations.
• Serve as a knowledgeable, energetic first point of contact informed and genuinely excited about what the platform delivers.
• Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent follow-through.

REPRESENT THE PLATFORM

• Be a confident, credible voice for Semsee in the market someone agents want to hear from.
• Relay agent feedback and market insights to sales leadership to help shape strategy and product direction.
• Participate in industry events, carrier meetings, and platform demos as the team grows.

STAY SHARP AND ORGANIZED

• Keep CRM activity, leads, and opportunities consistently logged and up to date.
• Follow up persistently and professionally to keep relationships warm and opportunities moving.
• Stay current on industry trends, market appetite, and platform updates so you can speak to agents with authority.

QUALIFICATIONS

• An entrepreneurial mindset someone who sees this role as a beginning, not just a job.
