Job summary

ALUDEC seeks an Inside Sales Rep to join our Eden Prairie, MN team. The role focuses on building meaningful customer relationships, managing quotes and orders, and coordinating plant tours for visiting customers. You will work with Sales, Customer Service, and Quality teams to ensure seamless processes and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, strategically minded, with strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of leadership and contributing to customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred; degree substitution allowed with relevant sales/customer experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential.
• Confident, outgoing personality; able to work with staff at all levels.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and proactive in problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
• Communicate quotes, re-quotes, pricing, product info, orders, and shipments.
• Assist with hosting customers; arrange plant tours and accommodations as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales Assistant and Customer Service to follow procedures.
• Handle customer issues professionally with the Customer Service team.
• Understand 8-D format and respond to concerns.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Sales to resolve issues.
• Keep department manager informed of new jobs and potential problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate requests to customers relating to quotes. re-quotes, pricing, product information, order status, shipment tracking, etc.
• Assist with hosting customers visiting ALUDEC USA. Arrange plant tours, accommodations, etc. when requested.
• Work with Sales Assistant, Customer Service / Order Entry people, ensuring that company procedures are followed.
• Professionally and effectively handle customer issues and concerns that are passed along by the Customer Service / Order Entry team.
• Understand the 8-D format and how to respond to 8-D concerns.
• Work with Quality, Production and Sales departments to effectively resolve in-plant and customer issues.
• Keep department manager informed about new jobs and potential problems.
• Other duties as assigned
