Insulated Products Corporation (IPC) is seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and results-driven Inside Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team. This fully remote position is ideal for an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing consultative solutions for
industrial and manufacturing products.
As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers by responding to inquiries, identifying the best thermal packaging solutions, preparing quotations, coordinating sample requests, and managing opportunities throughout the sales process. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to ensure an outstanding customer experience from initial contact through project completion.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with strong sales instincts, excellent follow-up skills, and a proven ability to build long-term customer relationships. - Respond promptly and professionally to inbound customer inquiries.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer applications and
requirements.
- Recommend appropriate IPC products and thermal packaging solutions.
- Provide preliminary pricing guidance and prepare customer quotations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and customers to move opportunities
through the sales pipeline.
- Maintain regular communication throughout the sales process to ensure an
exceptional customer experience.
- Coordinate customer sample requests from initiation through delivery.
- Track quotations, sample requests, and sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, customer communications, and sales activities.
- Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding quotes and customer requests.
- Support order handoff and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer Service to
deliver effective customer solutions.
- Represent customer needs internally while balancing manufacturing capabilities
and business objectives.
- Communicate customer requirements clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement by providing customer feedback and market
insights.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
- Develop long-term relationships that generate repeat business.
- Support company sales objectives through consultative selling and solution-based
recommendations.
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales performance expectations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of successful B2B sales experience selling tangible
products.
- Proven experience managing customers through a consultative sales process.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-up skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Experience selling industrial, manufacturing, packaging, engineering, or technical
products.
- Experience with solution-based or consultative selling.
- Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting technical products or engineered solutions.
