Job summary

FPG in Noblesville, Indiana seeks an Inside Sales Associate to assist the sales team with quotes, orders, shipments, and customer issue resolution. This on-site role reports to the Operations Manager and involves periodic travel within IN/OH/KY/WV/VA territories, communicating with customers, vendors, and carriers.

You will handle quotations in the ERP, manage warehouse duties, support Territory Sales Managers, and help maintain stock levels while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Inside or Outside Sales (required).
• Hands-on ERP experience with quotes, orders, shipments, and inventory (required).
• Warehouse management and forklift operation (required).
• Knowledge of industrial valves and flow meters (preferred).
• Experience in distribution or manufacturers’ representative firms (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create customer quotations, enter and process sales orders in the ERP.
• Provide technical support to end users on the products represented.
• Resolve customer issues with a customer-first focus.
• Support the Territory Sales Managers and assist in serving customers.
• Support other areas of the business; as a small company, this role will be exposed to all aspects of the operations.
• Perform warehouse duties, including operating a forklift, other warehouse equipment and lifting 50+ lbs.
• Serve as the primary contact for carriers, vendors, and customers on all inbound and outbound shipments, including parcel and LTL freight.
• Audit warehouse stock periodically.
• Maintain order points, order quantities and safety stock levels for all inventory SKUs under management.

Job description

FPG is seeking an Inside Sales Associate for its Noblesville, Indiana office. FPG is a manufacturers' representative and distributor of highly engineered products — industrial valves, flow meters, and a broad range of analytical instrumentation — serving industrial and utility customers across a five-state territory (IN, OH, KY, VA, and WV).

The Inside Sales Associate will be expected to assist the Inside Sales team with sales & order processing, creating quotes for customers, handling all incoming & outgoing shipments, and resolving customer issues. In addition, this position will be responsible for coordinating all outbound shipments via parcel freight carriers as well as LTL shipments.Periodic auditing of warehouse stock and maintaining order points, order quantities and safety stock levels for all inventory SKUs under management.

This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position reporting to the Operations Manager. This role will interface with all internal staff at FPG, including the President, Sales Manager, Accounting Manager, as well as the Territory Sales Managers that actively manage the five-state territory.The role will have daily interaction with customers, vendors, and shipping carriers, thus strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Occasional travel within the territory for customer visits and factory training, including some overnight stays, is required.

• Hands-on ERP experience with quotes, orders, shipments, and inventory (required)
• Warehouse management, including forklift operation and the ability to lift 50+ lbs (required)
• Experience in industrial process and controls industry (preferred)
• Knowledge of control valves and flow meters (preferred)
• Sales experience in distribution and manufacturers’ representative organizations (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive, can-do team player who enjoys working with customers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
