Job summary

SPEC Building Materials Corporation in Saint Peters, Missouri, is seeking an Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate to handle order placement, pricing, delivery coordination, and product inquiries from the customer service desk.

You will maintain and grow the customer base, source special orders, ensure orders are accurate, and assist with inventory and pricing. GED or high school diploma required; fast-paced environment experience a plus.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Working knowledge of computers and software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Past experience in building materials industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selling building materials to our customers from the customer service counter.
• Maintaining and growing existing customer base through prospecting, sales account development, quoting, and customer follow-up.
• Sourcing special order items for our contractors.
• Ensuring all customer sales orders are imputed complete and accurate.
• Advising customers on inventory levels and pricing.
• Cash application and reporting.
• Answering the phone and directing calls.
• Scheduling and answering questions regarding deliveries for customers.
