Job summary

nexAir, LLC is seeking a dedicated Backup Route Driver to load, transport, and deliver compressed gas cylinders and related goods. The role requires CDL A or B with HazMat, a clean MVR, and the ability to perform physical tasks in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include DOT/FDA documentation, daily route management, and maintaining strong customer relationships while coordinating with purchasing for shortages and outages.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of driving experience.
• CDL A or B with HazMat.
• Employee must meet DOT physical qualification standards.
• Clean MVR driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend MSDS.
• Ability to perform tasks with weights up to 150 lbs, up to 600 lbs occasionally.
• Work outside in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver compressed gas cylinders and hard goods.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT regulations.
• Complete required DOT/FDA documentation accurately.
• Track deliveries and pickups using handheld technology.
• Return empty cylinders for refilling and maintain inventory levels.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
• Communicate maintenance, delivery efficiencies, and customer concerns to supervisors.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
