Job summary

Darragh Company, a long-standing, family-owned provider of building materials, seeks a sales-oriented professional in Springfield, MO. You will deliver excellent customer service, leverage product knowledge, and process transactions efficiently while supporting internal teams.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, the ability to handle in-person and phone traffic, and familiarity with order processing systems.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide customer service
• Ability to manage in-person customer traffic along with incoming phone customers
• Working knowledge of order processing systems, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Advises customer on tools, hardware, and materials needed, and demonstrates use
• Assists internal customers such as warehouse personnel and teammates at other locations
• Aids Outside Sales in writing up transactions and drafting proposals
• Handles merchandise or cash following company policies
• Performs regular cycle counts for showroom items
