Job Description

The Inside Account Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service while coordinating customer requests, quotations, order management, and project activities. This position works closely with Sales, Sales Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, Shipping, and Accounting to ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated and fulfilled from initial inquiry through product delivery. The Inside Account Manager is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting commercial activities, coordinating internal resources, and identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and operational performance. Previous experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.

Compliance & Administration

  • Maintain accurate customer records, account activity, pricing information, contracts, and related documentation within ERP and CRM systems.

Customer Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing timely communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support satisfaction, retention, and long-term business growth.
  • Manage customer accounts from purchase order receipt through product delivery and post-delivery support.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, delivery commitments, certifications, quality issues, and account-related matters.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, business reviews, conference calls, audits, and facility visits as required.
  • Resolve customer concerns by partnering with internal departments to ensure timely and effective solutions.
Order Management & Project Coordination
  • Review customer purchase orders and ensure requirements are accurately entered, communicated, and executed.
  • Manage customer orders, revisions, forecasts, and delivery schedules while proactively communicating changes or potential delays.
  • Coordinate activities among Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Shipping, and Supply Chain to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Support production scheduling and inventory planning by communicating customer demand, forecasts, and priority requirements.
  • Coordinate customer documentation, certifications, material test reports, shipping records, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and other customer-driven changes by ensuring effective communication with internal teams and customers.
Quotations & Sales Support
  • Support quotation activities by coordinating Requests for Quote (RFQs), gathering required information, preparing pricing worksheets, and assisting with customer proposals.
  • Partner with Sales Engineering and Sales Management regarding pricing, contracts, engineering changes, and strategic account opportunities.
  • Monitor quotation activity, follow up on outstanding opportunities, and identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining customer pricing structures, contracts, and commercial agreements.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Prepare and maintain sales, backlog, order status, and customer performance reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, quote turnaround, backlog, and customer service metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and internal processes.
  • Support trade shows, customer presentations, and marketing-related activities as needed.
  • Assist with invoice discrepancy resolution by coordinating with customers and Accounting.
  • Cross-train in Sales Engineer responsibilities and provide backup support for other Sales Department functions as required.

Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in account management, customer service, inside sales, customer success, sales support, or order management with in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing customer orders, schedules, account performance, and customer relationships.
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Experience with order entry, production coordination, forecasting, and customer scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects from customer order through shipment preferred.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, forging, machining, metalworking, or other precision manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems and customer-specific requirements preferred.

  • For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $35 to $40 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
  • For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter.
  • Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.
  • Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
