Job summary

Ziegler Inc. in Saint Cloud, MN seeks a full-time Counter (Inside) Parts Sales Person to provide dedicated customer service, assist with parts selection, and process orders.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 3:30pm to 12 Midnight, with a $2/hr shift differential for this time frame. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in diesel or related fields, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
• 2+ years in diesel engine, construction or agriculture equipment, or automotive parts or service.
• Up to 4 years of experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player.
• Basic computer skills (navigation, searching) and Microsoft Outlook (email).
• Basic telephone experience.
• Basic customer service skills.
• Personal characteristics: Customer Focus, Teamwork, Learning Orientation, Efficiency, Sociability.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service face-to-face or over the telephone to customers.
• Helps customers determine correct parts needed, verify availability, and make recommendations.
• Determines correct parts and their availability, and completes orders.
• Determines supplying facility and mode of transportation for parts shipment.
• Enters shipping information into the order system to process orders and generate invoices.
• Processes backorders, returns, and exchanges.
• Assists team with group and team sales, coordinating between departments.
• Communicates with customers for sales, follow-ups, and issue resolution.
• Works cooperatively with team and superiors.
• Prepares quotes for service work, engines, machines, and parts.
• Assists customers with issues by taking action or escalating.
• Maintains a safe workplace following department environmental standards.
