Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking an Inside Parts Counter Representative to process, locate, and deliver parts for internal and external customers. You will support service shops and mobile technicians and help keep parts stocked and organized across the warehouse.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, solid knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts, and strong verbal and written communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Process and locate unit parts for internal and external customers.
• Verify part numbers in electronic records for accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and report variances to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and research data inconsistencies.
• Assist service shop and mobile technicians in identifying parts.
• Track daily use of parts and receiving of orders.
• Create purchase orders for weekly stock orders.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure inventory readiness, warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Ensure shop and mobile trucks are stocked and obsolete parts removed.

Inside Parts Counter Representative Opportunity Summary

Inside Parts Counter Representative are responsible for processing, pulling, and delivering or shipping to shop or customer to ensure all work scheduled is completed in a timely manner and to the customer’s satisfaction.

Job Duties

• Process and locate unit parts for internal and external customers.
• Verify part numbers in the appropriate books via electronic records to ensure accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and record data, reporting any variances to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and research any data inconsistencies.
• Assisting service shop and mobile technicians in identifying parts necessary for repairs.
• Tracking daily use of parts and receiving of orders.
• Creating Purchase Orders (PO's) for weekly stock orders and reporting to manager.
• Nurturing and maintaining relationships with company's vendors and suppliers.
• Maintaining appropriate inventory readiness and warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Ensuring shop and mobile trucks are properly stocked and removing obsolete parts as deemed necessary.

Work Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
• Excellent verbally and written communication.
