Job summary

W.W. Williams in Ohio seeks an Inside Parts Counter Representative to process, locate, and deliver parts to shops or customers, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.

You will perform cycle counts, manage inventory, and create purchase orders while supporting service technicians. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for accurate records and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Process and locate unit parts for internal and external customers.
• Verify part numbers in appropriate records for accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and report variances to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and investigate data inconsistencies.
• Assist service shop and mobile technicians in identifying parts.
• Track daily use of parts and orders.
• Create Purchase Orders for weekly stock orders.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Keep inventory ready and warehouse organized and clean.
• Ensure shop and mobile trucks are stock and obsolete parts are removed as needed.

Inside Parts Counter Representative Opportunity Summary

Inside Parts Counter Representative are responsible for processing, pulling, and delivering or shipping to shop or customer to ensure all work scheduled is completed in a timely manner and to the customer’s satisfaction.

Job Duties

• Process and locate unit parts for internal and external customers.
• Verify part numbers in the appropriate books via electronic records to ensure accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and record data, reporting any variances to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and research any data inconsistencies.
• Assisting service shop and mobile technicians in identifying parts necessary for repairs.
• Tracking daily use of parts and receiving of orders.
• Creating Purchase Orders (PO's) for weekly stock orders and reporting to manager.
• Nurturing and maintaining relationships with company's vendors and suppliers.
• Maintaining appropriate inventory readiness and warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Ensuring shop and mobile trucks are properly stocked and removing obsolete parts as deemed necessary.

Work Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
• Excellent verbally and written communication.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
