Job summary

Gulf Marine Repair in Tampa, FL seeks a full-time Inside Manual Machinist to assemble, repair, and modify ship machinery using lathes, milling machines, shapers and grinders. Precision work on blueprints and micrometers is required. The role supports 40+ hours weekly on the first shift, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years machining experience preferred.
• General knowledge about ships and machinery.
• Ability to read micrometers with low tolerance.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints.
• Drug test must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, modify, and repair ship machinery and systems.
• Set up, service, repair, align, and test machines.
• Use precision tools to repair parts to specifications.
• Evaluate procedures and recommend efficiency improvements.
