Job summary

A.D. Moyer Lumber in Kutztown, PA seeks an Inside Counter Sales Representative to assist customers with orders by analyzing blueprints, specifications, bid proposals, and other documentation to provide accurate and timely cost of materials and labor estimates.

You will enter orders, build customer rapport, offer value-added solutions, and support loading product into vehicles while maintaining a neat, professional image.

Qualifications

• Assist customers with orders and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Communicate effectively to verify order details and provide accurate information.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by taking orders and accommodating special orders.
• Ensure customer order accuracy by working closely with purchasing to verify order specifications before finalizing order with vendor.
• Enter orders into the computer system.
• Build customer rapport.
• Provide customers with value-added solutions/products.
• Creatively solve problems to achieve sales and customer objectives.
• Assist customers in loading their product into their vehicle.
• Learn and maintain knowledge on products available.
• Present a neat and professional image.
• Assist in keeping facility secure.
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
• Seasonal Requirement: Assist with snow removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Inside Counter Sales Representative is required to assist customers with orders by analyzing blueprints, specifications, bid proposals, and other documentation to provide accurate and timely cost of materials and labor estimates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers by taking orders and accommodating special orders.
• Ensure customer order accuracy by working closely with purchasing to verify order specifications before finalizing order with vendor.
• Enter orders into the computer system.
• Build customer rapport.
• Provide customers with value-added solutions/products.
• Creatively solve problems to achieve sales and customer objectives.
• Assist customers in loading their product into their vehicle.

• Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and/or squatting.

• Regularly requires carrying objects that are 100lbs or less by hand and/or using equipment.
