Job summary

W Insurance Company in the United States seeks an Inside Claims Representative II to deliver exceptional claims service and fairly adjust moderately complex auto/property claims by phone and written correspondence. You will interpret policy wordings, determine coverage, reserve appropriately, and investigate to determine liability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years insurance adjusting experience.
• Working toward Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
• Effective customer service skills including empathy and concern for our customers.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy regarding data entry.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• College/University degree is preferred.

Inside Claims Representative II

Job Summary The Inside Claims Representative II contributes to W Insurance's goal of delivering an exceptional and consistent claims service experience through the fair and equitable adjustment of moderately complex auto and/or property claims through telephone and written correspondence.

Job Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage and ensure appropriate reserving
• Investigate losses to determine liability
• Evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third party adjusters, contractors and repair facilities in order to quantify losses
• Negotiate with insureds, claimants, lawyers and insurers
• Coordinate services with vendors and service providers
• Adjust claims from inception to completion in a proactive manner
• Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system
• Remain up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry

The pay range for this position is $26.92 - $40.38 per hour, depending on experience.

This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 8 hours in a workday.
