The Inside Account Manager is responsible for providing dedicated service to assigned account(s). They focus on growing sales within their portfolio by sharing product knowledge, resolving customer issues, and processing customer orders. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, efficient service tailored to local market trends.

Key responsibilities include creating trusting relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty, and collaborating with team members to support store growth.

About the Sales Team

The Sales team provides high-quality, streamlined service, focusing on corporate initiatives for assigned customers. They help deliver a wide variety of products, including fresh, branded, and owned brands, to community grocers and retail chains. The team aims to build trust, integrity, and customer loyalty, helping clients achieve their goals.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Account Management & Sales Planning (50%)
  • Implement strategic sales plans to increase sales, profit margins, and reduce expenses.
  • Manage new sales opportunities and existing account servicing.
  • Inform customers about products, promotions, and demand forecasts.
  • Identify customer needs and collaborate on solutions.
  • Utilize sales data and merchandising tools for customer engagement.
  • Support customers in understanding market trends and product categories.
  1. Manage Execution (25%)
  • Provide timely, accurate information on product availability, quality, and pricing.
  • Use data to recommend product substitutions and identify local trends.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email.
  • Enter customer orders and process credit requests accurately and promptly.
  1. Manage Relationships (25%)
  • Build and maintain partnerships with vendors, brokers, and trade partners.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Proactively drive company initiatives to ensure customer success.
  • Focus on mutual sales and profit growth.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Product knowledge and understanding of sales opportunities.
  • Knowledge of margins and profitability.
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Result-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems.

Work Environment
