Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with machines that insert printed matter, such as letters or booklets, into folders or envelopes.
2. Assist Machine Operator in setup and adjusting the machine to operate efficiently.
3. Oversee output and make adjustments as necessary.
4. Assist in paper loading, removing materials and products from machines and equipment, and placing them in containers.
5. Inspect materials and products for defects and alert the Machine Operator to ensure conformance to specifications.
6. Clean and maintain work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe work conditions.
7. Set up receiving containers.
8. Move pallets and carts loaded with printed documents.
9. Follow work instructions from the machine operator.

Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment that can be set up and operated following a few step-by-step instructions, and the skill to operate the equipment.
2. Skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment.
3. Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.
4. Blue Crest and/or Kern inserter experience is preferred but not required.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.41 to $21.63 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay may be provided.
