Job summary

O'Neil Digital Solutions, LLC is seeking an Inserter Machine Operator for the 1st shift to set up, operate, and maintain inserting equipment used to fold, match, and insert multiple pieces of printed material into envelopes.

The role requires reading job tickets, adjusting machines, inserting address tags, supervising helpers, and ensuring output meets specifications while following safety guidelines in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in printing or mail inserting environment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to read and follow job tickets.

Responsibilities

• Set up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to the specifications provided on the job ticket.
• Insert address tags into mail sacks, or mail trays used for bulk mailing of ID cards, kits, and catalogs.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Keep work area in order and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Able to read postal statements and sort mail accordingly.
• Make adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications.
• Direct and supervise the work of helpers on the machine.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
• Communicates status of jobs to department manager.
• Follow standard operating procedures according to the department's guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
