Job summary

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Florida is seeking an Inpatient Wound Care Coordinator. The RN will work with physicians and nursing leadership to deliver high-quality wound care with autonomy, following the Florida State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, developing care plans, teaching patients and families, and ensuring appropriate wound assessment and management, including pressure ulcer prevention.

Qualifications

• Florida Nursing License is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications approved by the AHA.
• Wound care certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise bedside wound care in inpatient settings.
• Provide direct patient care with flexibility to meet individual needs.
• Formulate an individualized plan of care and evaluate effectiveness.
• Develop and implement a teaching plan including patient and family education.
• Identify wound changes and take timely appropriate actions.
• Select appropriate wound care surfaces and dressings for patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurse, and nursing leadership to ensure quality care.
