Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or experienced Physician Assistant for an inpatient-only vascular surgery role. You will support five vascular surgeons, evaluate inpatient medical and vascular consults, expedite discharges, and coordinate follow-up appointments with the clinic.

The ideal candidate has inpatient surgical, vascular, or critical care experience and can round on hospitalized patients while communicating with attending surgeons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or NP/PA program completion.
• Three years of experience required; new grads may be reviewed case-by-case.
• Arizona PA license (or NP license) with CPR and DEA; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatient medical and vascular consults before/after surgery.
• Expedite discharges and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Rounding on hospitalized patients and collaborating with surgeons.
• Support inpatient vascular team with perioperative care.
• Manage consults and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
