Job summary

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation in Rockville seeks a Therapy Technician for the Inpatient Rehab Department. The role supports licensed therapists by transporting patients and preparing therapy spaces, while also assisting with treatment plans and equipment upkeep.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, BLS certification, and basic computer skills. Prior rehab or healthcare experience is preferred, and students aiming for PT/PA school are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Basic computer skills with Word and Excel.
• Previous experience in a therapy/rehab setting or healthcare setting preferred.
• Students aiming to advance to PT or PA school a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to/from therapy sessions.
• Assist staff with patient treatment plans under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Prepare and clean up therapy gym, space, and equipment before and after therapy sessions.
• Build and disseminate wheelchair, cushion, and accessories; perform wheelchair repair.
• Make modifications to the therapy schedule.
