Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Psychiatric Institute of Washington seeks an Inpatient Therapist to provide individual and group therapy, psychosocial assessments, case management, and crisis intervention within an adult inpatient behavioral health program.

The role requires DC licensure (LGPC/LPC/LGSW) and 1–2 years of direct clinical experience in behavioral health. The successful candidate collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support stabilization and recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline from an accredited graduate program.
• Current DC licensure as LGPC, LPC, or LGSW (DC).
• 1–2 years of direct clinical experience in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and psychosocial assessments to identify needs, risks, and goals.
• Provide individual and group therapy for adults with mental health and co-occurring conditions.
• Develop and facilitate therapeutic groups addressing patient needs and skills.
• Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support for acute needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for treatment planning and care coordination.
