Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Healthcare Institute seeks a Licensed Clinician (LMSW/LMFT/LMFT-A/LCSW) for full-time inpatient psychiatric services. The clinician will provide individual and group therapy to adults, adolescents, or children within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, applying CBT methods, and contributing to discharge planning while maintaining patient confidentiality. Inpatient experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology)
• Licenses: LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCSW, LPC, or LPC-I required
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare field or combination education and experience; inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; understanding of DSMIIIR
• Must have basic PC skills: Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; 30 wpm typing
• Must be a good listener with a pleasant demeanor; ability to multi-task and manage time

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy in a group and individual setting
• Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans with the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Demonstrates application of Cognitive Behavioral Theory and methodology
• Contributes to discharge planning
• Plans and prepares for activities
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
