Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience as a therapist with two+ years with the facility's population.
• State or national licensure required for professional therapy providers.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available on hire).
• First aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques to treat diagnosed emotional and mental disorders.
• Conduct individual, group or family therapy as per the treatment plan.
• Perform psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Provide initial treatment planning and coordinate needed services.
• Maintain therapy documentation to standards.
• Maintain an assigned caseload.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff.
• May provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Provide case management and discharge/after-care planning.
• Assist in staff training on behavior management or crisis intervention.
• Coordinate clinical, psychosocial or educational activities with families.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs or facilities.
• Assist in training new clinical staff and interns.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism and prioritize patient safety.
