Millwood Hospital (a UHS affiliated hospital) is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood’s caring, multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX, in the heart of the city, just 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, and less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. Position Summary: Inpatient Therapist (All patient populations)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Days)

The Inpatient Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. Responsibilities include providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services for patients/families, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Prefer a minimum of one to three (1-3) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

License: Must possess a state licensure: LPC, LPC-A, LCDC, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW.

Additional Requirements: CPR and CPI training must be completed prior to beginning work. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
