Job summary

West Oaks Hospital in Houston seeks an Inpatient Therapist to join our acute care team. The role provides direct care to patients with psychiatric and substance use conditions in an inpatient setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and coordinating discharge planning.

Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree in Human Services, with licensure as LPC/LPC-A/LMFT/LMSW, CPR and de-escalation certifications, and 1–3 years of inpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services related field, MSW preferred.
• LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, or LMSW licensure required.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and various therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, care managers and other staff for crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Conduct therapeutic groups and educate patients and families.
