Endeavor Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join the inpatient General Surgery team at Swedish Hospital, Chicago, IL. This full-time position involves three 12-hour night shifts, with weekend and holiday coverage as described.

The role emphasizes rapid assessment, orders, and collaboration with surgeons. You will provide care across general, urology, and vascular surgery services, document care, and contribute to patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• Master's level PA education and licensure in IL are required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• DEA and IL CDS license required.
• One year of PA experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply/undergo training.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care in general, urology, and vascular surgery.
• Perform detailed history and exam; order imaging and labs; interpret results.
• Prescribe therapies and provide patient education.
• Document progress notes and care plans; follow patients through hospital course.
• Collaborate with surgeons and health care team for optimal outcomes.
• Assist in operative procedures as needed.

Education

Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies

PA Licensure in Illinois

BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider certification

DEA and Illinois Controlled Substances License
