Endeavor Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant) for the Inpatient Department of General Surgery at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This full-time role requires coverages including 12-hour night shifts and weekend/holiday rotations, providing comprehensive surgical care in a collaborative team setting.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat general surgery, urology, and vascular patients, lead pre/post operative care, and participate in protocol-driven practice

Qualifications

• PA Licensure in Illinois required; Federal DEA and IL Controlled Substance License required.
• Master’s level program in specialty area completed.
• BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to inpatients in General Surgery, urology, and vascular surgery.
• First assist in emergent operations for General Surgery, vascular surgery, and urology, including cesarean sections.
• Order imaging, labs, and diagnostic procedures; interpret results and write progress notes.
• Collaborate with surgeons and health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
