Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient surgical oncology on the night shift. This on-site role supports pre- and post-operative care within a Magnet-recognized system. The unit emphasizes comprehensive cancer care and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualified candidates will have BSN, NC RN licensure (BLS required), and 1–2 years of hospital nursing experience; new grads are welcome. This role fosters professional growth in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS required.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients as assigned.
• Monitor and maintain the environment of care including equipment and materials.
• Participate in own professional development and competency attainment.
• Act as preceptor and support staff development.
• Engage in performance improvement activities.
• Record activities and document assessments and plans of care.
