Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Speech Therapist, Inpatient Adult, for a 13-week contract in Margate, Florida. The role involves evaluating and treating patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, performing MBS studies and Passy Muir valve trials, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

CCC and Florida license, BLS, ICU experience and caregiver training are required; day shift 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with 2 weekend days per month.

Qualifications

• CCC certification required.
• Florida state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with MBS and ICU patients essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily speech evaluations and treatments for patients.
• Perform and assess Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies.
• Evaluate cognitive and language skills (expressive & receptive).
• Train caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, residents).
• Prioritize treatment across ICU and CVIU units; weekend coverage as needed.
