Job summary

Carolinas Rehabilitation Northeast, part of Atrium Health, is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital focused on stroke, brain injury, and complex neurological conditions. We seek a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and treat communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders within an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology and state licensure; BLS is required. Inpatient rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• State licensure for Speech Language Pathology.
• BLS certification per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and plan care including modalities, procedures, exercises and patient education as warranted by diagnosis.
• Direct and supervise rehab technicians, students and volunteers involved in patient care.
• Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, discharge notes and education.
• Communicate evaluations and progress to physicians and staff; coordinate treatment plans and discharge planning.
• Modify goals and treatment as patient status changes; re-evaluate as needed.
