Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat inpatients with speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and voice disorders. You will conduct evaluations, set goals, document outcomes, and contribute to care across the continuum.

Additional duties include staff education, program development, and representing the department in the community. Require CA SLP license, CCC-SLP, and eligibility for BART/BLS; background checks and variable hours apply.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatients with speech, language, cognitive, swallowing or voice disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment goals and plans; perform and document assessments.
• Possibly perform modified barium swallow studies as part of evaluation.
• Coordinate patient information across the continuum of care and communicate with team.
