Job summary

Covington Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to plan, direct, define and coordinate individualized therapeutic support for patients with behavioral health needs. The role involves conducting psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention and active participation in a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective discharge planning.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work and licensure as LMSW/LCSW/LSW, with 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Two or more years’ experience working with patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessment and develop an effective treatment plan.
• Provide crisis intervention and assist families in understanding implications of life situations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss assessment and discharge planning.
• Identify and coordinate patient cases, anticipate needs related to illness, hospitalization, finances, and community services.
• Promote recovery and the highest level of social functioning; communicate with families.
