Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a licensed physical therapist to join the inpatient rehabilitation team at the UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center in Alabama. You will evaluate, plan, and provide physical therapy services per physician orders, and ensure timely documentation to meet professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include mentoring and developing care plans for PT assistants under APTA guidelines, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced setting, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
• Registered as a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama.
• CPR certification required.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• To evaluate, plan, and provide physical therapy services as prescribed by the referring physician and as evidenced by the patient's needs.
• To complete patient-related documentation, ensuring content and timeliness to meet all professional requirements and legal/regulatory specifications.
• To evaluate and develop plan of care for Physical Therapy Assistants, according to APTA guidelines.
