Job summary

WVUMedicine is seeking a professional registered nurse to provide inpatient care with accountability for nursing processes, using independent judgment and advanced beginner-level knowledge to meet patient needs across the lifespan.

Responsibilities include updating plans of care, applying evidence-based practices, delegating tasks, and educating patients and families while collaborating with an interprofessional team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where services are provided or a multi-state license via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Modify patient plans of care based on data and individual needs.
• Use evidence-based practice to guide patient care.
• Delegate per scope of practice and coordinate with the interprofessional team.
• Educate patients and families and ensure effective communication among care providers.
• Contribute to policies and processes that promote safe, high-quality care.
