Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking a Weekend RN for our pediatric inpatient unit. The RN will deliver high quality nursing care using the nursing process and will be accountable for care provided by self and by staff to whom care is delegated.

The role requires flexibility, critical thinking, and strong communication with patients, families, and the care team. Weekend hours, on-call, and ongoing professional development are included.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state or multi-state license via eNLC.
• BSN preferred; strong clinical and organizational skills.
• Certify in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Modify plan of care based on data collection and patient needs.
• Provide care using evidence-based practice and nursing process.
• Delegate according to scope of practice and verify care plans.
• Educate patients and families and communicate with the interprofessional team.
• Engage in continuing professional development and quality improvement.
