Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center is seeking an RN Registered Nurse Inpatient (PRN L1) for the Nursing Operating Room. The role involves patient assessment, care planning, and detailed record-keeping within a busy OR setting.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring for adverse reactions, and reporting changes in patient condition. A current RN license and BLS are required, with a BSN preferred to advance practice in this unit.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and detailed reports.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Administer medications and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
