Job summary

Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for PRN shifts. The RN will assess patient health problems, develop and implement care plans, and maintain detailed medical records.

Responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring patient responses, and advising on prevention and wellness. The role requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• RN must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• AHA BLS certification required prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and reports.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions.
