Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Unit to deliver patient-centered nursing care to post-surgical and medical-surgical patients.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and coordinating care, educating patients and families on post-operative care, and coordinating discharge planning while contributing to unit quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital medical/surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients’ rights and provide high-quality, compassionate care.
• Assess patient health problems and develop, implement, and evaluate care with the team.
• Provide direct patient care, including medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-operative care.
• Discharge planning coordination and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform point-of-care testing and ensure infection control and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and effective hand-offs between shifts.
