Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking an inpatient RN to assess patient health, develop care plans, and administer nursing care. The unit specializes in orthopedic and spinal surgery with a collaborative team including RNs, PCAs, therapists, surgeons, and case managers.

Eligible full-time employees receive tuition discounts for themselves and dependents starting Jan 1, 2027, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN by state of employment or compact license.
• BLS required prior to end of orientation.
• Orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Maintain accurate patient records and provide health maintenance guidance.
