Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a full-time Inpatient Registered Nurse for the Danville, PA area. The role offers a $24,000 hiring incentive, a minimum hiring rate of $41.50 with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

The RN will assess and coordinate nursing care, promote patient safety and satisfaction, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and family experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania (RN) with current license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduate from specialty nursing training program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, perform, and evaluate nursing activities per unit standards.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
• Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics.
• Promote safety and maximize patient and family satisfaction.
• Engage in discharge planning and patient education with the care team.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives within the unit.
