Job summary

UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care on the 4th floor SRMC. You will lead care with the nursing process and support preceptors and staff.

Responsibilities include patient safety, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with the healthcare team to discharge planning. Nursing roles span Neonate to Geriatric as assigned; part-time night shifts available with weekday/weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required
• RN licensure in NM or by reciprocal agreement
• BLS/CPR competency within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Follow patient safety policies and protocols
• Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process
• Lead clinical staff and act as relief charge when designated
• Collaborate on individualized care plans including discharge planning
• Administer medications, including IV meds, per Seven Rights
• Assist with tests and procedures and document findings
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clinical updates
• Triage calls and participate in orientation and precepting responsibilities
• Report safety concerns and encourage patient engagement in care
