Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide inpatient care at PVH Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV. The RN will apply the nursing process, exercise independent judgment, and support quality outcomes for patients across the life span.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an interprofessional team, mentorship of new staff, and involvement in care planning and policy adherence to ensure safe, patient-centered care. 36 hours weekly, non-exempt, inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state where services will be provided or multi-state license via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient diagnoses, problems, and goals in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Serve as a resource for patient and family learning needs.
• Coordinate with the interprofessional team to manage changing priorities.
• Provide safe, high-quality care as an independent team member.
• Mentor colleagues in acquiring clinical knowledge, skills, and judgment.
• Participate in developing and improving systems supporting patient care planning.
• Lead interprofessional teams to collaborate and consult effectively.
