Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts at Western Massachusetts Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse II for a 40-hour, 1st shift inpatient role. The RN II will provide direct care to adults and geriatric patients, develop and update care plans, and document care in accordance with nursing standards.

Applicants must have MA RN licensure and CPR certification; experience with Meditech/EMR systems preferred. Salary ranges from 92k to 155k yearly depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing principles and practice.
• Understanding of care for diverse patient groups (adult/geriatric).
• Knowledge of emergency procedures such as CPR.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct hands-on nursing care for adult and geriatric inpatients.
• Assesses health status on admission using hospital assessment processes.
• Develops and maintains an up-to-date care plan with nursing diagnoses and goals.
• Documents changes and care rendered per nursing service guidelines.
• Participates in Quality Assurance activities and supports team communication.
