Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS or successful completion within 60 days of hire date.
• 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong organizational skills for fast-paced OR environment.
• Experience in phase II level of care.
• CMSRN certification preferred.
• Completion of De-escalation training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Develops goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
• Delivers care using nursing processes to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Prioritizes patient care based on essential needs and available center resources.
• Responds effectively in emergencies following protocols and documents events.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical/surgical care, pain management, medications, labs, safety, and legal issues.
• Maintains accurate documentation on the floor and in patient records.
• Works as part of a team to deliver patient care and keeps current BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Attends mandatory trainings and staff meetings; adapts to new ideas.
• Represents patient rights and follows physician orders professionally.
• Willing to assist with other duties as needed.
