Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse with a commitment to compassionate patient care. The role offers a hiring incentive up to $26,000 for eligible candidates, and a minimum hiring rate of $41.41 per hour with potential increase based on experience.

Evenings shifts are available with up to $7 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. This is a full-time, regular position with 36 hours per week and on-site duties in GWV, PA.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care as established in unit standards including education and discharge planning.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care based on patient response.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and team members to resolve patient needs.
• Solves problems and maintains equipment safely.
• Participates in unit-based decisions and quality/safety initiatives.
• Works with the team to meet unit and organizational goals.
