Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care. You will employ the nursing process, provide direct care, and guide patient/family teaching within a busy Medical/Surgical Unit.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, ACLS certifications, and preferably a BSN with acute care experience; ventilator management skills are a plus. Day shift; full-time position within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s condition, tests, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
